If your business is a commercial nail & beauty salon or spa with two or more staff members, and has been open in its current location for more than 12 months (prior to 1 February 2024), and trading in its current name since then, then enter this category!

The salon offers hand, foot & nailcare services alongside other beauty treatments. Entrants to this category have successfully combined nail treatments with other beauty services, creating a convenient environment in which clients can indulge in nailcare. The team is personable, skilled and friendly and delivers an exceptional service, from the booking process to the treatment itself and recommendation of retail/aftercare products.

The hand, foot & nailcare services contribute to the business treatment revenue, but make up no more than 70% of its overall treatment revenue. Any salon that gains 70% or more of its overall business treatment revenue from hand, foot & nailcare services must enter the Nail Salon of the Year category instead.

JUDGING

Once the entry deadline has passed on 10 March 2025, all entries will go through a first round of judging, and five finalists in this category will be announced on Friday 18 April 2025.

These finalists will be 'mystery shopped' between April and July. A 'shopper' will book in for an appointment and provide a report on the service that Scratch Stars judges will then evaluate. This report, alongside the initial entry and social media/website platforms will be assessed against a number of criteria on a scoresheet. Scores will be tallied to determine the winner of this category who will be announced at the Scratch Stars Party on Sunday 6 July 2025.
