:YOURS to launch 9 nail polishes to aid stamped designs

:YOURS is complementing its range of design plates with nine polishes, created specifically for stamping.

Highly pigmented, the polishes are fast-drying for speedy application and results and shades include Silver Star and Pink Love.

Rachel Horrocks, content marketing manager for Sweet Squared, reveals her top tips for creating great nail designs using the stamping polishes and plates:

1. Characteristically stamping polish air dries quickly so remember, if you’re stamping on regular polish, you need to work quickly. If you’re stamping on gel, you have plenty of time because it doesn’t matter if the stamping polish is dry, the tacky inhibition layer on top of Shellac™ will stick to the pattern regardless.
2. You don’t need to use acetone or other chemicals to remove the polish if any excess gets on the skin. Wait for it to dry and simply use an orangewood stick to remove. The composition of the polish means it will flick off the skin with no need to expose the tissue to chemicals.
3. Don’t over scrape! When your stamping polish is on your stamping plate, I’d recommend a two-scrape motion to get the polish into the grooves of the plate whilst removing excess. If you over scrape you risk removing too much polish which will result in an uneven pick-up of the pattern.
