Vogue director & cosmetics brand CEO named as British Beauty Council ambassadors

Jessica Diner, global beauty & wellness director at British Vogue, and Trinny Woodall, founder & CEO of cosmetics brand, Trinny London, have been named British Beauty Council (BBCo) ambassadors.

Joining a roster that includes skincare mogul, Caroline Hirons, hair aficionado Sam McKnight MBE and make-up expert, Ruby Hammer MBE, the pair will help guide the organisation’s activity and amplify its work.

Jessica and Trinny will be pivotal in the development of the BBCo‘s Investment, Innovation & Technology pillar, applying their expertise in beauty brands, media and entrepreneurship.

Diner is a highly respected beauty commentator, holding a global role for the Vogue brand. She has been part of the fabric of Vogue since 2007, and her history in editorial means she holds expertise and a holistic awareness of the beauty industry.

She comments: “I have long been a supporter of Millie (Kendall OBE, CEO of the British Beauty Council) and her team, and it’s a huge honour to officially come into the fold. Championing the excellence of the people and the brands within the beauty industry has always been a priority for Vogue, and we look forward to working with the Council to further amplify and nurture its growth.”

Woodall has become synonymous with the British fashion and beauty industries via her work across popular culture, most recently as the founder and CEO of Trinny London. On her appointment, she comments: “The power of beauty is limitless. At Trinny London, everything starts with emotional connection – and no industry is as deeply personal and connected as beauty.

“We are thrilled to be part of an organisation that uplifts British beauty founders and the wider community, and proud to represent British beauty on the global stage.”
