Dating app, Tinder, opened a pop-up ‘Nailing Dating’ nail bar in collaboration with non-profit organisation focused on ending domestic and sexual violence, NO MORE.
The ‘Nailing Dating’ nail bar, located in London, offered free gel manicures and nail art on 25 and 26 October 2024, which were available to book online on a first-come, first served basis.
The two-day event followed research which revealed 57% of single women between the ages of 18 and 35 confide in their nail techs about their dating life.
The study also found that over 75% of respondents feel they hold back from sharing their dating lives with friends and family, fearing it will ‘make things too complicated’, with 36% of single woman also believing they would be judged if they decided to open up.
To account for this, the event will also offer free dating workshops, aiming to create an environment to facilitate honest and open conversations about dating lives.
“The Nailing Dating nail bar aims to shine a spotlight on having healthy, open conversations about all aspects of dating in an environment where many of us feel comfortable,”shares Laura Wilkinson-Rea, senior communications director for Northern Europe at Tinder.
The event celebrates Tinder and NO MORE‘s launch of their ‘Ten Tips’ to aid a confident and positive dating life. Nail art options are inspired by these, with each manicure experience lasting around an hour, depending on the complexity of the chosen design.
