The Nail Yard has expanded its franchise with its eco-friendly nail bar on the Archerfield Estate, East Lothian, following the success of its Morningside location.

Since the launch of its first salon in April 2015, The Nail Yard Edinburgh has sought to provide luxury services to eco-conscious clients, sourcing products with natural and sustainable ingredients.

Based within Fletcher’s Cottage Spa, named as The Telegraph‘s best spa in Scotland, The Nail Yard at Archerfield offers its bespoke manicure and pedicure treatments from 10am-6pm, six days a week, for non-residents and accommodation guests.

The Nail Yard Edinburgh was founded by industry pro, Kirsty MacCormick, who boasts over 30 years’ experience in the spa, wellness and beauty industry.

Kirsty comments: “We are delighted to be entering this partnership and bringing our award-winning salon to East Lothian. The reputation of the Archerfield Estate and Fletcher’s Cottage is second to none and we couldn’t think of a better location to open our first location outside of Edinburgh.”

Treatments include:

  • Margaret Dabbs Supreme Manicure with Treatment Gloves – a 50-minute hydrating nail and hand treatment using the full range of Margaret Dabbs Fabulous Hands products, finished with Bio Sculpture polish or Gel.
  • Elim Advanced Medi Foot Treatment – a four-phase pedicure, starting with Elim’s Callus Tonic to remove hard skin, an AHA to exfoliate the lower legs and feet, a clay mask to purify and detoxify the skin, an application of foot protector balm, finished with Bio Sculpture Gel.

The Nail Yard at Archerfield uses organic elements with soft, chic features to create a natural, cosy and luxurious feel, designed by interior designer Siân Parry Jones. With oak wood features seen both in the flooring and the nail bar tabletop, the salon also features a woodland sanctuary-themed wallpaper, helping to bring the outside in.

Melanie McKenzie, Archerfield treatments and therapy manager, comments: “We are looking forward to collaborating with The Nail Yard in a unique partnership that will bring the two very distinct worlds of Spa Wellness and Nail Care together, giving us the opportunity to offer our clients their complete self-care experience in one serene environment.”
