By Scratch Staff | 12 May 2020 | News
The British Beauty Council in consultation with advisory board member and industry nail expert, Marian Newman and Doug Schoon, scientist, author and educator with over 30 years’ experience in the cosmetic, beauty and personal care industry, share guidance for nail techs, salon owners and clientele. The guidelines set out clear processes and procedures covering four categories, including specifics for mobile and home salon experts.
All hair and beauty businesses must stay closed for now with the government offering a provisional date of 4 July for reopening. However, the British Beauty Council is working avidly behind the scenes investigating and pushing for a consolidated update with government. Meanwhile to help nail professionals navigate the new landscape and prepare for opening, it has published guidelines, which arm them with a comprehensive and exclusive breakdown of all the facts they need to consider and action.
The guidelines offer direction on hygiene for staff and clients, clothing and protections, dust, distancing, how to service clients and the payment status of operating a no-cash system.
