Beauty industry accountancy and advisory firm, The Beauty Accountant, has joined the D&T Group, a multi-award winning team of chartered accountants and business advisors.
The move aims to catapult The Beauty Accountant’s reach across the UK and allow it to expand into adjacent markets such as barbers, aesthetics and tattooists.
The Bletchley-based business will retain its distinctive brand. Founder, Ria-Jaine Lincoln, will focus on growing the business’ presence in the sector through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth, while benefitting from the support that the wider D&T Group can provide.
This transaction sees all staff of The Beauty Accountant join the wider D&T Group, alongside Ria.
Ria comments: “Joining the D&T Group is a huge honour and milestone for The Beauty Accountant, complementing the specialist services that it currently provides with the wealth of knowledge, resource and experience from the group.
“We’re all looking forward to joining the team and in turn will be able to focus on client delivery and relationship, an area that I feel provides the most value for small businesses.”
Ria has achieved accolades including recognition in the Top 50 Women in Accounting, and Accounting Excellence’s Sole Practitioner of the Year and COVID Hero awards.
The D&T Group specialise in niche markets including franchise business and children’s activities, and the pairing allows the company to enter the specialised beauty market and expand its geographical reach.
Carl Reader, chairman at D&T Group, chair of the practitioners panel at the ACCA & former member of the Accountancy Age 50 under 50, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ria and her team to the wider D&T Group. We’ve seen first hand the benefits of having a clearly defined strategy and delivery process for specialist markets; and are confident that The Beauty Accountant will continue to provide an unparalleled service for its sector.
“Unlike many similar transactions in the profession, this transaction is focused on sector knowledge and credibility, rather than a geographic target. This is in line with D&T’s wider strategy of being specialist advisors for specialist sectors.”
