Soap nails are the 2024 trend loved by celebrities including Selena Gomez

There’s good news for fans of the ‘clean girl aesthetic’: the TikTok beauty craze centred around a fresh, glowing and natural appearance.

Soap nails, the ‘clean’ and classy manicure trend, has been spotted on some famous fingers and is here to stay in 2024.

Selena Gomez’s go-to tech, Tom Bachik, tended to the singer & actress’ nails, creating what he called ‘barely there, glossy soap nails’. “The key to this mani? Perfectly prepped, buffed smooth, and filed nails,” wrote the celebrity nail stylist.

The soap nail trend is all about sporting an effortless and understated squeaky clean style: so clean that it looks as if it’s just emerged from a bubbly bath.

Thorough cuticle and nail prep is key, as always, for a polished and smooth appearance. Nails can be kept bare, or enhanced with a natural-looking, sheer nude/pink nail colour or milky hue. Following this, the application of an ultra glossy top coat creates a wet-look finish. If desired, subtle nail art can be added.
