Caroline Hirons, founder of the Beauty Backed campaign, has launched a sister initiative; Back Beauty.

Beauty Backed launched in August 2020 to raise both funds and support for the reopening of the UK beauty industry in its entirety. Back Beauty now hopes to encourage clients to ‘book and buy beauty’ to support the sector.

Caroline spoke to members of the beauty industry about what they missed most about not being able to work, with answers including the interaction with clients, performing treatments and watching progression, liaising with colleagues and making people feel great.

“We’re in another lockdown, in what is, traditionally, the busiest period of the year for beauty,” Caroline states via the BeautyBacked.com website. “If you work in our industry, November and December are fully booked and the British Beauty Council estimates about a third of a business’ annual turnover is taken in the last three months of the year.

“We want the beauty industry to survive this second hit to their income.”

“Businesses need help to stay afloat while they once again cannot work and to be able to reopen when this second lockdown is over – and there’s a very real way to help them do it; book and buy beauty to back beauty.”

Caroline hopes that the Back Beauty campaign will encourage clients to book future appointments with their local beauty professionals and buy gift vouchers or retail items to support their income.
