Simon Jersey, a leading uniform supplier to the beauty industry, has been chosen to supply Team GB with its formalwear for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Having dressed the team for last year’s Olympic games in Rio, the brand has been asked once again to provide contemporary formalwear that will be worn to events during and after the games in South Korea’s PyeongChang.
The brand was chosen thanks to the quality of its designs and ability to unite the most diverse of athlete body shapes through uniform.
“It’s incredibly exciting to be a part of Team GB’s journey as they aim to continue their winning streak,” comments James Saunders, managing director at Simon Jersey. “Dressing athletes who are all different shapes and sizes is a challenge, but one that we manage every day on behalf of all our clients.”
To celebrate the announcement, Simon Jersey teamed up with freestyle snowboarding coach, Tom Wilburn, to test the flexibility, performance and durability of one of its suits during an extreme display of snowboard acrobatics at Snozone, the UK training base for many of next year’s skiing and snowboarding hopefuls.
“Going to Snozone was an ideal opportunity to test the durability of our garments for wear in cold conditions and it was fantastic to see how the suit performed,” concludes James.
