Centred on nailcare memberships and flexible pay-as-you-go nail services, Manicured London has opened in Hackney Wick.
Founded by session manicurist & educator, Tinu Bello, the East London space has inclusivity and affordability at its core, as Bello explains:
“Manicured London began as a concept I scribbled in notes on my phone during the Covid pandemic. Amidst the closure of my previous salon, Colour Riot Nails, in April due to rent hikes, I saw an opportunity to launch a studio with membership-based treatments that seamlessly include nailcare in clients’ monthly expenses, similar to gym memberships or streaming services.
“This initiative aims to make nailcare affordable and convenient for all. By becoming a member, clients not only save on monthly nailcare expenses, but also enjoy complimentary perks, discounts and the future prospect of accessing multiple locations.”
Four membership tiers are available at Manicured London, starting at £85 per month:
- Manicured, which offers a monthly Minimal or Essential manicure and pedicure with an optional gel or regular polish finish, 10% off retail products and pay-as-you-go treatments, and a guest receives 10% off pay-as-you-go treatments and the first month’s membership.
- Sculpt, offering one monthly builder gel overlay or infill, one monthly Minimal or Essential pedicure, 15% off retail products and pay-as-you go treatments, and a guest receives 20% off pay-as you-go treatments and the first month’s membership.
- Extend, which includes one monthly Aprés Gel-X Extension service, one monthly Minimal or Essential pedicure, complimentary tier one or two nail art, 15% off retail products and pay-as-you-go treatments, and a guest receives 20% off pay-as you-go treatments and the first month’s membership.
- Bespoke Package, which can be customised to suit the client’s budget and nail needs.
All memberships include complimentary removals and hot and cold beverages on arrival, with the option to freeze, cancel, upgrade or downgrade the membership at any time.
“The decline in bookings at my previous salon was mainly attributed to the pandemic and rising cost of living, and this is why I believe a membership-focused approach to nailcare is important,” Tinu adds. “Memberships represent the future of the nail industry, benefiting consumers with their affordability and business owners by enabling them to forecast sales in advance, aiding scaling and expansion efforts.”
