The world’s most famous store has revamped its hair and beauty salon, with Scratch Stars Nail Salon of the Year 20/21 – Townhouse – serving up the nail services.
Townhouse, popular with beauty editors and influencers for its Instagram-worthy manicures and nail art, is based on the fifth floor. Clients can opt for a minimalist mani-pedi, intricate nail art, a men’s manicure or the Harrods Exclusive manicure. This treatment features the use of Chantecaille skincare products, as well as a black volcanic sand scrub enriched with mother of pearl, shaping, buffing, cuticle care, moisturising, a luxury hot cream treatment and an indulgent 20 minutes of massage. This is all finished with a full colour consultation and a clear strengthening treatment, gel or polish, including the vegan range.
The hair and beauty salon marks the final chapter in Harrods’ beauty transformation. Expect impressive interiors, cutting-edge technology and impeccable customer service.
Hair and beauty treatments have long been a part of the iconic store’s DNA, with Harrods’ first ‘Hairdressing and Manicure Department’ having opened in 1894. The new space has been completely redesigned by London based Sparcstudio Design, and pays homage to the salon’s 1982 design, featuring glossy peach marble, beautiful cream stone counters and powder pink walls with gold finishes.
The newly designed space hosts treatment spaces that include a Backwash Room, Conditioning Bar, Hairdressing Rotunda, Eye Zone, and a Hair Extension Library.
The salon also offers a variety of transformative hair treatments from Trichology to Laser Hair removal, as well as a menu of facial treatments, waxing, massages, and body wraps. Furthermore, there is the new Eye Zone, which offers everything from eyelash extensions to Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow treatments.
Annalise Fard, director of beauty at Harrods, says: “Harrods has invested in pushing the boundaries in what is expected from a beauty destination, as well as bringing the most innovative experiences and services from around the world to London. I am absolutely delighted to be creating this exciting new beauty offering for our Harrods community.”
Mia Collins, head of beauty at Harrods, adds: “Through the unique combination of the salon’s design, exceptional treatments, and curated product offering, we strive to offer our customers a real celebration of what beauty is all about.”
