International lash brand, NovaLash has awarded Michelle Williams with two accolades at its annual LASHoff contest.
Michelle, owner of I-Lash by Michelle, Elgin, Scotland, scooped both the 2020/21 Fan’s Choice Award and Lash Artist of the Year – within just three years of of training as a lash professional.
Every year, NovaLash hosts a competition for talented artists around the world to submit their work in the chance of winning different titles. Awards include: Lash Artist of the Year, Fan’s Choice Artist of the Year, or wining Best Classic Lashes and Best Volume Lashes.
While the contest usually culminates in an annual party in Houston, Texas, USA, that sees the brand’s lash artists travel from around the globe, this edition of the competition saw NovaLash announce its winners via a live stream on social media.
“We are so proud of Michelle, for her hard work, talent, and dedication,” states a spokesperson from NovaLash. “It is remarkable to win one award, let alone two! We are so excited to see where Michelle goes and we’re looking forward to seeing more of her success.
“The Covid-19 pandemic put a kink in the plans for 2020 and 2021, so NovaLash pivoted by cancelling our usual gala-like event and opting to post a video announcement on social media. While not as fun as a gala, we were excited to share the news with the winners and fans in the safest manner available.
“The NovaLash Family would like to thank everyone for applying in the 2020-2021 LASHoff Competition. We are so lucky to have such talented and dedicated artists and excited to receive the LASHoff 2022 applications, beginning 1 September, 2021.”
