Sally Cheque For The Little Princess Trust

Sally Salon Services has been fundraising with its charity partner of five years, The Little Princess Trust, this month, as well as announcing new charity partnerships with In Kind Direct and The Hairdressers’ Charity.

Sally Salon Services has supported The Little Princess Trust since 2013, and has to date raised an £300,000 for the charity which provides real hair wigs for boys and girls during courses of chemotherapy, to provide some comfort to children during a very difficult time.

The hair and beauty supplier raised £67,000 last year alone, far exceeding its target, and is aiming to do the same this year by hosting a month of fundraising activities across HQ and its network of stores across the UK and Ireland. These include a charity bake sale at Head Office and sponsored Sienna X tanning treatments.

It will also be donating profits from special charity writsbands to The Little Princess Trust, so look out for these on sale online and in selected stores throughout the month of July so professionals can help support the charity too.

In addition, Sally Salon Services has extended its support to two new charities this year.

The first of these is In Kind Direct, which distributes new consumer goods, donated by UK manufacturers and retailers, to charities, not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises working in the UK and abroad. They’re a lifeline to thousands of charities helping vulnerable people across the UK, allowing them to spend more of their money on support, not supplies.

Sally Salon Services is delighted to have already donated four palettes worth of hair and beauty stock to In Kind Direct.

James Williams, deputy CEO of In Kind Direct said: “The feedback from charities in our network shows the impact product donations from Sally Beauty are having with thousands of people across the UK. Whether used to provide pamper sessions for cancer patients or in packs for young women living in poverty, products that help people look and feel better play an invaluable role in addressing low self-esteem and social isolation.”

The second new charity partner provides support closer to home; The Hairdressers’ Charity is dedicated solely to helping hairdressing professionals and ex-hairdressers in need. The official charity for the hairdressing industry, the organisation provides financial assistance and support for hairdressers who’ve fallen upon hard times.

Sally Salon Services has donated £6,000 to The Hairdressers’ Charity already, and will continue to sponsor them £500 a month to help them continue their good work.

Olivier Badezet, CEO Sally Europe said: “We’re delighted to be supporting The Hairdressers’ Charity with the amazing work they do every day to help hairdressers going through difficult times. This industry is about people, and it thrives on creativity, collaboration and mutual respect. We’re proud to sponsor an organisation committed to being there for professionals in their hour of need.”
