The Gel Bottle Inc, parent company to the Peacći nail lacquer brand, has launched an initiative to support self-employed customers during the coronavirus crisis.

Stipulations by the UK government have forced nail technicians to stop offering services such as gel polish manicures to clients, with income affected. Consequently, The Gel Bottle Inc team has seen a surge in demand for Peacći lacquer products, as clients seek shades and products to care for their nails at home during the self isolation period.

The nail brand has decided to help its self-employed nail tech customers by paying 20% of its sales, as commission, directly to them when one of their clients buys a Peacći product or home removal kit.

“When I first considered that beauty industry professionals across the country would have to shut up shop, I cried,” comments Daisy Kalnina, founder & CEO of Peacći & The Gel Bottle Inc.

“The COVID-19 crisis is a tragedy and the safety of people must of course come first, but it’s important to remember that now clients can’t get their nails done twice a month, a nail or beauty professional may not be able to put food on their plate.

“I knew I had to do something to help and it’s imperative that I can do my bit to support the industry I know, use and love. We have to look after each other and check-in on everyone we care about, and that includes all of the people who make our regular lives brighter by giving us nice nails, hair and everything in between!”

The scheme allows beauty professionals to earn a salary in place of the nail appointment they can no longer offer by encouraging their clients to purchase products to keep their nails in good condition while at home.

In its first 1.5 days of launching, Peacći has paid over £2500 to beauty professionals across the UK. The website also offers a virtual tip box – encouraging clients to ‘tip’ their nail tech and support them while their business is closed.
