Opi Grease 2

OPI is commemorating the 40th anniversary of iconic movie musical, Grease, with the launch of a 12-piece colour collection.

Available from May, the shades ‘capture the movie’s fun, energetic spirit’ and comprise retro, summery hues – from powdery pastels of yellow, lavender and pink, to bright pops of orange, turquoise and magenta, and Scratch‘s Kat popped along to the press launch to check them out. Affectionately titled with names including ‘Teal Me More, Teal Me More’ and ‘You’re The Shade That I Want’, the hues have been inspired by the likes of the Pink Ladies and Rydell High’s school colours.

OPI is once again making its mark on pop culture by joining Paramount Pictures to celebrate the anniversary of such an iconic film,” comments OPI co-founder and brand ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann.

“The Grease characters offer so much inspiration for the colours, such as the Pink Ladies’ jackets, Sandy’s cheerleading outfit, Danny’s leather coat and Frenchie’s magenta ‘do.

“If you’re a fan of the movie, you’re sure to find many favourites.”

The limited edition shades will be available in lacquer, Infinite Shine and GelColor formulas from May via www.opiuk.com
