NailOn Global Nail Championship has launched – offering an opportunity for techs worldwide to keep creativity levels high, regardless of skill level.
Created by the team at Innovation Beauty Academy, Northampton, NailOn presents three divisions; Novice, Professional and Master, with five categories in each.
Entrants can choose to enter up to all of the below categories by 23 June 2020:
- Non Scissors Manicure
- Extreme Shaped
- Mix Nail Art Box
- Perfect Almond
- Gel Polish Manicure
“First, second and third place awards will be given in each category and division,”reveals organiser, Mariola Mikolajczyk. “The more categories that competitors choose to enter, the greater the chance of winning the Grand Champion trophy.”
Judges have been selected from all over the globe, and include all three Nailympia Global Champions; Madelene Wolf from Sweden and Lena Kurach and Joanna Bandurska from Poland. Representing the UK on the judging panel is Paulina Mucha, Katie Barnes, Kirsty Meakin and Magdalena Smorga.
An additional category, Star Entry, is free to enter and will be judged by the public. In this category, competitors create a nail design to the theme ‘Summer Story’ on one hand and send a photo, which will then be published on the NailOn Global Facebook page from 25 May to be judged by the public.
Winners in all categories will be announced on 12 July, with the Global Champion receiving a host of prizes including a feature in Scratch magazine.
“Nail competitions are so important for professionals, and we have chosen judges that are not only experienced in judging or educating, but who are well respected in the industry,” Mariola continues.
“We hope to unite the nail industry during this challenging time and give an opportunity for techs to challenge themselves; especially those that find a live competition floor nerve-wracking.
“All participants of the NailOn Global Championship will learn new skills and gain feedback to develop. We hope that this competition will offer an opportunity for many to step foot into the realm of competitions.”
