Nouveau Lashes survey reveals client lash habits

A recent survey conducted by Nouveau Lashes revealed that price was reported as more important to women in the UK than their eye health when it comes to considering a lash treatment.
The survey of a of 1,000 UK females, between the ages of 18-55, also saw that within the last year, 50% of women have had lash treatments to make them feel more confident and attractive. Alarmingly the same number of women did not think to ask how much experience their technician had before undergoing their first treatment with them. Many admitted to not knowing what criteria to consider when picking a salon, or checking the credentials of the technicians.
The survey also found that 30% reported that they were not told by the salon or technician how to safely look after and remove their lash extensions, with 29% admitted to pulling lashes off themselves.
“There is a real need for women to be more educated when it comes to lash health.”
Nouveau Lashes is keen to combat these findings by highlighting a campaign focusing on the importance of natural lash care. “It’s clear that lashes are proving more and more popular with lash treatments now being the fourth most requested beauty treatment after hair colours, blow dries and manicures,” says co-founder of Nouveau Lashes, Bridgette Softley.
“It is also crystal clear however, that there is a real need for women to be more educated when it comes to lash health and safety standards. Different brands and techniques can have a huge difference on lash health and its vital to make sure that consumers visit a salon that uses qualified practitioners who give you correct after care advice.”
To help with the campaign, Nouveau Lashes’ Have It All guide offers a range of stats and information for optimal lash care, as well as practical pointers and advice thanks to a panel of experts: Trisha Buller, consultant trichologist; Justine Hextal, consultant dermatologist; Francesca Marchetti, consultant optometrist; and Deobrah Law, Nouveau Lashes’ international lash trainer.
The handbook also sees a guide to Nouveau Lashes’ treatments to help decide on the best service for your client’s preference, including treatment time, guide price and average wear time.
