Revealed: the social media nail stars in NHBF’s Top 100 Influencers Index 2024

The National Hair & Beauty Federation’s (NHBF’s) Top 100 Influencer Index has been revealed for 2024.

The Index – now in its fourth year – ‘offers an opportunity to recognise those in the industry who use social media to influence, educate and innovate our sector,’ according to the organisation.

In the top spot this year is Shropshire-based hair stylist, Cal Newsome of @cal_newsome, and the Index features a variety of nail names – who we’ve detailed below…


36th place: Kamila Borowiec – @glamliciousnails

Multi Scratch Stars Award-winning nail artist, Kamila Borowiec, who scooped the Social Media Star of the Year title this year, has received the highest place for a nail pro in the 2024 list.

“I feel very honoured to be recognised in the Top 100 Influencers Index,” she comments. “Being amongst the best in the beauty industry and recognised for my efforts and hard work is a massive achievement. Doing what I love and feeling seen is the best award any artist could hope for.

“Initiatives like this motivate us to continue working hard and push us to work even harder.”


41st place: Hazel Dixon – @hazeldixon

Fellow multi Scratch Stars Award winner: most recently, recipient of The Nail Business Mentor of the Year Award 2024, Hazel Dixon, describes scooping 41st place as ‘an incredible honour – especially as one of the few nail artists recognised in such a prestigious list.’

The esteemed educator & brand owner continues: “This award highlights the power of social media to influence, educate and innovate within our industry, and I’m proud to represent the nail sector. It’s a testament to the passion and hard work we pour into our craft every day. Thank you to the NHBF and everyone who supports my journey!”


43rd place: Jaz Moger – @paintbyjaz

Jaz MogerBio Sculpture manicurist, Jaz Moger, has previously been recognised in the Index and promotes a ‘bold yet minimalistic’ signature nail art style. She notes: “This is the third consecutive year that I’ve been recognised in the NHBF’s Top 100 Influencers List and it means so much to me! To be included amongst such a talented group of people motivates me to continue using my platform to push my creative skills and share my techniques.

“Influence isn’t just about numbers: it’s about the impact you make on others, inspiring them to express themselves and pursue their passions.”


58th place: Theresa Foddering – @thenaildresser

Theresa FodderingFor salon owner, nail trainer & the Nail Surgery community founder, Theresa Foddering – known as ‘The Naildresser’ – this is also the third year she has been included in the Index.

“This honour is not just about ‘influence’ – it’s about the opportunity to be acknowledged for sharing knowledge, inspiring growth and supporting others in our incredible industry,” Theresa shares.

“Education has always been at the heart of what I do, and to see that passion acknowledged on this scale is so rewarding. This recognition fuels my commitment to helping others to develop their craft, build confidence and navigate the ever-changing landscape of hair and beauty. I’m grateful to the NHBF for celebrating the value of education in shaping the future of our sector.”


Paige Taylor Dargan

71st place: Paige Taylor Dargan – @taylordbypaige

South London luxury manicurist & educator, Paige Taylor Dargan, describes being named 71st in the Top 100 Influencers Index as ‘an honour’.

“My work is my passion and a hobby turned into a full-time job,” she tells Scratch.


76th place: Jodie Whitehead-Booth – @jodie_whitehead_

Multi award-winning nail artist & educator, Jodie Whitehead-Booth, reveals that that she is ‘incredibly proud’ to be included in the NHBF’s 2024 Index.

“This recognition is about more than personal achievement – it’s a reflection of the shared commitment within our community to raising standards in the nail and beauty industry,” she details. “I’m passionate about inspiring others, sharing knowledge and helping professionals to grow in a way that uplifts the industry.

“This acknowledgment is a reminder of how powerful we can be when we work together to set new benchmarks for creativity and excellence.”


95th place: Rhiannon Lamb – @naileditbyrhi

Suffolk nail art specialist, Rhiannon Lamb of Nailed It By Rhi, scooped the 95th place in the Index, and describes the title as an ‘incredible honour’.

“The award is a testament to the hard work, creativity and passion that I bring to this art form,” she explains. “I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my love for nails with others, inspiring confidence and artistry every step of the way.”
