Director of quality & standards at the National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF), Caroline Larissey, is celebrated in the powerlist of 100 inspirational women in trade associations.
The Women in Trade Associations (WiTA) Powerlist was founded this year by the Trade Associations Federation (TAF), Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
The list, which received over 200 nominations, champions the role of women in trade associations and celebrates their achievements.
In her position as director of quality & standards at the NHBF, Caroline Larissey acts as a conduit between the UK government and the hair and beauty industry. She promotes the development of standards, quality and guidance to support the value and recognition of the sector.
Caroline started her career as a salon junior, progressing to a business owner, further education lecturer and director of training & education. Other roles she has undertaken include national diploma project lead at Habia, standard setting body for the hair and beauty industry, and head of standards & qualifications at both Habia and SkillsActive, sector skills council for active leisure, learning and wellbeing.
On being included in the WiTA Powerlist, Caroline comments:
“I am delighted to be recognised among so many other inspirational and powerful women. It’s great company to be in and is a massive achievement.
“I am proud to represent our members at the NHBF, and I’m hugely proud of the work that we have achieved so far and what’s to come.”
