Joanna Bandurska from Poland has been crowned Nailympia Global Champion 2019.

In a close contest against Germany’s Olena Özman, Joanna amassed the most points in the Stiletto, L&P Acrylic Sculpture and UV Gel Tip & Overlay categories at Nailympia competitions in Estonia, Orlando and London.

She was presented with the Global Cup trophy by the first recipient of the award in 2017, Madelene Wolf of Sweden, who returned to the Nailympia arena as a judge for 2019.

The presentation took place on Monday 30 September at the Nailympia London awards ceremony at Olympia Beauty, London, and saw rapturous cheers from an audience of several hundred nailists. Before the London event, Joanna had accumulated 793 points in Estonia and Orlando, with Olena on top at 795. She excelled in London, however, and beat Olena to the title by 5 points with a total of 1208.

The next Nailympia will take place in Canada 9-11 November.
