1. Essie’s virtual reality

Nail brand, Essie, has introduced essie® on-handin partnership with ModiFace. It is a virtual try-on salon which allows users to discover essie nail polishes using the highest standard in nail try-on services. This web-based tool utilises primary camera technology which allows virtual nail polish to appear seamlessly on the user’s hand, tracking nail shape and movement of fingers through your back-facing camera. This technology means you can see the real essie shade on the real you.

2. Jacqueline Jossa’s DIY mani

With nail salons still shut, actress and I’m a Celeb star, Jacqueline Jossa has found the perfect alternative for achieving a salon-worthy manicure at home. Jacqueline revealed she has invested in a set of press-on nails to keep her mani in check until her next appointment.

According to research by Mintel, one in five women have been spending longer on their beauty routines since lockdown.

4. Trend spot!

Nail art has taken over Instagram, with trends being created and tried out by various nail techs. The latest trend to hit the platform is translucent plastic nails.
