Here at Scratch, we love keeping up to date with anything fun happening in the nail industry! These are our top 5 nail tales of the week…

1. Ice-Ice-mani

Jaws dropped as Normani took to Instagram to flaunt her ice-sculpture manicure by @sojinails for her recent music video. We’ve all seen the recent water droplet trend… but this is another level! The look sees clear jagged edges resembling shattered pieces of ice. For the sake of practicality, let’s hope the nails were removed after the shoot!

2. Sharing your Instagram handle at your fingertips

Lanour Beauty Lounge in Dubai is offering a tech-nical manicure where nail polish seals a microchip to the client’s fingernail. The chip can contain information from social media handles to contacts, enabling clients to have the world at their fingertips… literally.

3. Third hand lucky?

Social media has kicked up a frenzy at this bizarre manicure, seeing an extra hand moulded onto a nail branded, ‘Handgela’. With the hands own multi-coloured manicure and jewel embellished bracelet there’s only one thing left to say… high five!

4. Care home Nail Bars

Residents were greeted with a glass of bubbly to celebrate the opening of a brand-new nail bar in Glenisla care home! There were smiles all round as clients experienced the touch of luxury they deserve with their fresh manicures!

5. Water drop it like its hot!

The new water drop trend has never come at a better time than this week’s heatwave! Clients are thirsty for moisturised, refreshed nails first made popular in June by Kylie Jenner’s dripping orange manicure by @chaunlegend.
