Nail and beauty salons in Scotland have been given the green light to re-open from 22 July.
Speaking in the Scottish parliament this afternoon, Nicola Sturgeon gave major updates to the easing of lockdown restrictions as she confirmed Scotland has now entered Phase Three of lockdown.
The First Minister said it is the “most significant milestone yet” but warned that the easing of such restrictions “was the highest risk change we’ve made so far.”
Hairdressers can re-open their doors from 15 July while beauty salons can re-open a week later on 22 July, as long as the appropriate guidance is followed and enhanced hygiene measures are in place.
The NHBF has stated that it expects the guidance to be available this week.
