Met Gala 2024: 20 show-stopping celebrity nail looks from the red carpet

An annual celebration of fashion and style, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Met Gala fundraising event took place in New York last night (Monday 6 May 2024).
The event honoured new exhibition, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, and welcomed celebrities to represent dress code, The Garden of Time, via their fashion, hair, make-up and nail choices.

Musician, Lil Nas X, turned to Temeka Jackson of @customtnails1 for an elongated glitzy Met Gala nail look, using metallic OPI GelColor shade, Go Big Or Go Chrome.
3D glass effect flowers adorned Lizzo’s nail enhancements, thanks to the singer’s go-to nail tech, Eri Ishizu.
Showcasing the same lace as on her Met Gala dress, manicurist, Thuy Nguyen, created these classy press-ons for actress, Emma Chamberlain, using Sally Hansen.
Nail artist, Coca Michelle, tended to the nails of Cardi B, imitating the appearance of a rose stem’s thorn via an angular French design using OPI.

Demi Lovato’s nail style paid tribute to the flowers on her Prabal Gurung dress, thanks to celebrity nail tech, Natalie Minerva, who used OPI and a custom white and silver chrome mix.

imPRESS Beauty press-ons in Vanilla Glaze were enhanced with hand-painted, embossed roses and vines by Pattie Yankee and assistant, Imani Mone’t (@polishnpotions), for actress, Allison Williams.
Madam Glam Gel Polish was used by Elle Gerstein of @enamelle for this translucent mani with chrome leave details and mini crystals, worn by actress, Jessica Biel, to match her Cartier jewellery.
3D water droplets sat upon a long, classic French manicure for Doja Cat’s ‘Wet Gala’ look, crafted by @sacciadidthat.
Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba in the upcoming Wicked movie, turned to her regular nail stylist, Rose Hackle of @rosedoesmynails, for an encapsulated nature-inspired design using OPI.
