This autumn’s London Fashion Week radically different to previous season owing to coronavirus restrictions, with catwalk shows streamed online and social distanced shows and photo shoots taking place.
London-based designer, Michael Halpern, captured his SS21 collection on film and in portrait, with eight women from across the public service sectors modelling the looks. Lead nail tech, Marian Newman, was on hand to create stunning nail designs for the shoot.
“I love working with Michael and have done for several seasons, but this collection was extra special,” Marian Newman says. “He invited frontline workers from many different professions, from a gynaecologist to a train driver.
“They were all fabulous and fascinating; we were able to really tap into their inspiring personalities with the extensive colour range that CND™ has to offer.”
Kristine Toce assisted Marian in creating the shoot’s nail look, including a polka dot design. Kristine states: “We chose two shades for the base, Satin Pyjamas and Blush Teddy. These colours are very airy and light which gives an elegant and delicate look. This, along with the textured polka dots, represents these incredible women, who are so strong and yet so gentle.”
