A book titled ‘Nails At First Sight – Survival Guide 101’ has gone viral for all the right reasons. Marwan Alteir, also known as Rocky, has created a hilarious six-page document that offers analysis on manicures as they relate to dating prospects and posted it on Twitter for the benefit of his fellow ‘bros’.
‘Tired of chasing the wrong girl? Just found out your girl is a psycho? Want to know the signs before making that investment? My book “Nails At First Sight” will help you,’ is the caption to the guide.
“I created this research to protect my bros around the world,” Marwan told BuzzFeed. “They need to know what they’re getting into.”
His ‘research’ started back in 2018, meaning the guide has been a long time in the making. “Research was conducted with 20 male friends and 10 male strangers. I showed each of them diagrams and images. If more than one guy said the same thing about a particular nail, it would go in the book,” explained Marwan.
The booklet touches on everything from colour to popular nail shapes and includes commentary such as, ‘Stiletto, Montainpeak and Arrowhead 70% chance means they are in an Aggressive/Violent state. These nails are not sharp and pointy for no reason.’ It also states the ‘danger colours’ are greens, reds, oranges and yellows, urging men to have health and life insurance if they’re dating a girl that wears these shades on their nails.
Marwan argues that colour, shape and length is the combination that can tell a man all he needs to know about a female romantic prospect.
Racking up over hundreds of thousands of likes, the guide has received many grudging words of approval from women. “I had a girl DM me that she hates me because I cracked the code and let out the secrets,” revealed Marwan. “She said she was going to find where I live and burn the book.”
