Despite England being hit by two storms and severe disruptions since Friday, one place that has remained as dynamic as ever is the capital, celebrating bold and escapist style and nail looks with London Fashion Week. Here, Scratch takes a look at the nail styles not to miss from the first three days of Fashion Week.
Harris Reed kicked off London Fashion Week, featuring nine different nail looks in his show – from this bright red style to holographic, alternative French and matte black designs.
For the MITHRIDATE campaign film, nail artist Kim Macias and her team painted each model’s nails with OPI shade, Danny & Sandy 4 Ever!, a deep charcoal grey with a blue and silver shimmer.
L’Atelier Green partnered with Paul Costelloe for his autumn/winter 2022 show. Gold shade, Golden Girl, was used to match the models’ Elizabethan-inspired outfits.
For POSTER GIRL’s LFW debut, Lauren Michelle Pires and her team created colourful inverted French manicures with clear tips and crystals additions using CND™ products.
Session nail tech, Adam Slee, used polish and nailcare brand, Nailberry, to create natural nail looks for the Conner Ives show.
Cool, dark hues were painted on models’ nails for the Matty Bovan runway, with Emily Rose Lansley and her team creating the style to match the brand’s confident and eclectic outfit choices. Sponsored by Tweezerman.
Described by lead session manicurist, Ama Quashie, as ‘Coca Cola nails’, this rich brown hue was the colour of choice for Nensi Dojaka’s show, which was sponsored by Dr. Barbara Sturm.
Emily Rose Lansley was busy at Fashion Week again, creating bold blue and dark toned nail looks with her team for the Eudon Choi runway.
From Bollywood (Indian cinema) to Nollywood (Nigerian cinema) was the theme for Ahluwalia’s autumn/winter show. Lauren Michelle Pires and her team used CND™ products to fit the theme, creating rich coloured, glossy nails featuring handmade bhindis.
Bold hues dominated the Molly Goddard runway, with fashion manicurist Saffron Goddard and her team using OPI to paint bright shades, like this lime green.
For the Huishan Zhang show, Jessica Thompson and her team used Essie nude shades, Topless and Barefoot, to create natural manis to match the brand’s elegant outfits.
Metallic nails are having a moment – just look at Halpern’s metallic twist on a classic French manicure, using reflective gold tips.
Have you ever seen eyelashes on nails before? Now you have, with this look created for the Yuhan Wang runway by Emily Rose Lansley and her team.
Chocolate shades will never go out of fashion and Sylvie Macmillan and her nail team know this, using a warm brown hue for the 16 Arlington runway.
