Leg care brand, Legology is joining two sustainability initiatives; rePurpose Global and World Land Trust in a bid to improve its sustainability as a brand.
Legology is a leg care brand which focuses on providing solutions to common leg problems. Using the Lymphology complex, founder, Kate Shapland set out to create a leg care brand that women can trust.
rePurpose Global is a plastic action platform, dedicated to reducing waste and restoring nature’s balance. The initiative aims to make the world plastic neutral by working with brands to reduce their plastic impact. As part of this initiative, Legology is funding the Female-led Project Anant Pranay in Maharashtra, India, to tackle the waste affecting the eco systems in its jungles.
“We’re proud to announce that Legology has taken a commendable step towards creating change by becoming certified plastic neutral with rePurpose Global and facilitating the removal of nature-bound plastic,” reveals rePurpose Global founder and CEO, Svanika Balasubramanian.
Legology is also working with World Land Trust, an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats acre by acre. All of Legology’s packaging is 100% recyclable and the cartons are made with WLT certified card, which means it is sourced from responsible forests and is carbon balanced to protect threatened habitats that would have otherwise been destroyed.
“I’m so proud that Legology has been able to take big steps to greater sustainability this year,” comments Kate Shapland, Legology founder. “By joining forces with rePurpose Global in its fight against plastic pollution, the brand has become plastic neutral.
“In bringing packaging production back to the UK, we’ve been able to offset our residual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through the maintenance of carbon-rich tropical wildlife habitats with World Land Trust,” states Kate Shapland, Legology founder.
