October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the #NailBreastCancer campaign is running for a fourth year to help raise funds and awareness for the cause.

“Over 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year; the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes.” – Breast Cancer Care

#NailBreastCancer is a fun and creative fundraising initiative founded by nail industry leaders touched by breast cancer to raise funds for the Future Dreams charity,” explains Ilana Magar of Future Dreams.

“This unique campaign encourages people to donate a few pounds after getting a nail treatment throughout October to help #NailBreastCancer and fund vital support, awareness and research.”

About Future Dreams

Launched in 2008 by mother and daughter, Sylvie Henry and Danielle Leslie, the aim of Future Dreams is to raise funds through a series of initiatives and help create a future free from breast cancer.

Sylvie and Danielle both sadly passed away due to breast cancer and their mission keeps on, with Future Dreams hosting an annual evening of entertainment to generate awareness and raise money.

Lend a hand

Throughout October, consider charging £2 – £5 extra on top of each nail treatment if your client agrees, and then donate to the Future Dreams charity.

The company has two beneficiaries; The Breast Cancer Haven and Breast Cancer Now.

Increase your donation through coffee mornings, raffles, bake off events or sporting days.

“Use social media to promote #NailBreastCancer by uploading pictures of pink nails or the graphics associated with the campaign and hashtag.”
