Beauty treatments and services are often booked as a method to alleviate stress and promote relaxation. Why not offer special deals for Stress Awareness Month and share the relaxation benefits of your services online, to encourage clients to book appointments?

1st: April Fool’s Day

April Fool’s Day dates back to the 1500s in France when the Julian calendar was replaced with the Gregorian calendar. Under the old system, the new year began on 1 April, while the new calendar marked 1 January as the beginning of the year. Word spread slowly, and those who continued to celebrate on April 1st were mocked as ‘April fools’.

The day is now famous for practical jokes, and has become a popular event for businesses to take a playful approach to their marketing. Prank your clients by posting unconventional nail art designs, like this Ketchup ‘dip powder’ creation by @sparkle_and_co_com, to your social media platforms.

17th23rd: National Feet Week

Created by podiatrists to highlight the importance of foot health, this week is a perfect opportunity to market your pedicure services. Tempt clients with offers on luxury pedicure treatments, post educational content on the importance of pampering feet and share inspiration photos – after all, the warmer weather means the return of open-toe shoes! 18th21st: Easter weekend

Easter, the Christian festival celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is a widely celebrated event. People often mark the occasion by gifting Easter eggs: a symbol of new life. Easter-themed nail art featuring eggs, chicks, rabbits and other springtime symbols proves popular in client requests.

Make sure to take photos of your designs and share them on social media to build excitement and encourage more Easter nail bookings. Click here for Easter nail art inspo.

You can also create an Instagrammable in-salon environment by adding wreaths, bunting and seasonal décor options, and encourage clients to share this on their social media.

You can also get clients engaging with you on social media by sending them on a virtual Easter egg hunt. ‘Hide’ an emoji on one of your posts and encourage them to find it. The first to message you could win a prize!

22nd-28th: Allergy Awareness Week

This week is dedicated to raising awareness and educating the public about different types of allergies. It brings together organisations, healthcare professionals and communities to share information about the causes, symptoms and treatments of allergies.

To reassure clients on your professionalism and expertise, upload social media posts which share the ways you are minimising the risk of allergies in your salon. Ensure information is reputable, so why not share links to some of Scratch‘s resources?

23rd: St. George’s Day

Celebrating England’s patron saint, St. George, the day marks the anniversary of his death in 303 AD and is seen as England’s national day. Legend has it that St. George slayed a dragon, and his symbol – a red cross on a white backdrop – is the same as the English flag.

Incorporate English symbols into nail art designs and upload these in the lead-up to the occasion, to inspire clients’ themed manicures. Click here for St. George’s Day nail inspo.
