According to beauty bookings service, Treatwell, 52% of UK consumers will return to salon immediately or within a few days of opening when the sector opens up on 12 April.
In an online survey based on 500 general hair & beauty consumers, 26% of consumers claim they are planning to have more treatments than before.
Based on the survey results, the treatments that will have the highest demand once salons reopen are haircuts, eyebrows, eyelashes & hair colouring.
The data by Treatwell also reveals that UK consumers are much more concerned and cautious about returning to the salon than other European markets by 96%.
Since the pandemic started in March 2020, nearly all consumers (91%) have started doing at least 1 of their usual professional treatments at home, which is 3% more than back in June 2020.
