The Hair & Beauty Charity is calling on the industry for support in the TwoPointSix Challenge taking place this week (Sunday 26 April – Sunday 4 May).
Created by the organisers of the London Marathon that has been cancelled due to Cover-19, the ‘lockdown-friendly’ TwoPointSix Challenge even is open to anyone, with participants being urged to support smaller UK charities.
The TwoPointSix Challenge is to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and then fundraise or donate to the Hair & Beauty Charity’s donation page. Taking up the challenge can be hair, barbering or beauty-related, or even fitness-focused. It can be a sponsored activity or a donation – whatever is affordable.
“Like many charities in the UK, our industry charity is suffering and needs help to raise funds so we can support our current beneficiaries and help the growing number of people contacting us for financial aid during the global crisis,” explains Samantha Grocutt, Hair & Beauty Charity president.
“This is a great opportunity for everyone around the country to get involved and support a charity that means something to them – I’m hoping that the hair, barbering and beauty industry will take up the TwoPointSix Challenge and support us by getting involved in some fun activities to help raise money for us.”
The Hair & Beauty Charity is urging people in the industry to get involved and select them as their charity to donate via www.justgiving.com/campaign/twopointsixchallenge.
