Garnier has teamed up with UK-based Almond, a climate solutions platform that helps businesses to naturally reduce carbon, as part of their commitment to ‘green beauty’.
This partnership will see Garnier plant 400,000 trees by the end of October. The global beauty brand has pledged to plant one tree for the purchase of selected beauty products in ASDA stores across the UK, supported through in-store POS, on-pack stickers and on their website where customers can see growth of Garnier’s reforestation project.
Alongside its journey to being more sustainable through the planting of trees, Garnier has set out a five-step strategy to achieve their goal in becoming more climate positive:
- More solidarity sourcing
- More eco-designed formulas
- More recycled and recyclable packaging
- More renewable energies
- More actions to fight plastic pollution
“We are extremely pleased to announce our partnership with Garnier, supporting them in achieving a company-wide sustainable goal,” explains Oliver Bolton, Almond chief executive. “The beauty industry only continues to grow and consideration for the impact of this has been and continues to be recognised.
“But there’s always more that can be done. While we’re not asking businesses to change their entire model – we want to help them understand their carbon impact and improve it.”
