Finalists announced in first World’s Star Nail Artist competition

Wow, what a journey it’s been for competitors (and judges!) in the first World’s Star Nail Artist competition.
Across several months, contestants have competed in ‘core’ challenges, with 2-3 eliminated after each into a Wild Card deck. These Wild Card competitors have been competing in shorter challenges, with a final task helping to determine who will join two ‘core’ winners in the final.
We’ve been stunned by innovative techniques, striking colour schemes and jaw-dropping interpretations of challenge briefs. Every single challenger this year has shown us their incredible talent and artistic style, and the results have been more astounding than we could have ever imagined.
That’s why, on receiving the entries to the final Wild Card challenge and evaluating the journeys of all semi-finalists, we couldn’t decide on just one competitor to join the UK’s Monika Kupień and Katy Pottle in the final.
Scores were so close and opinions were varied, so we have decided to send three more competitors to the final, creating a Top 5 who will battle it out for the title of World’s Star Nail Artist.
Our five finalists are Kamila Borowiec, Laiying Liu, Gemma Dawson, Katy Pottle and Monika Kupień.
They will now compete in a final WSNA challenge, which will be due on 17 July. They’ll then be invited to attend The Scratch Stars Party in London on 23 July, where they’ll all receive prizes and the winner will be announced. The top 3 will take home cash, with the first place winner scooping a trophy, cover and feature in Scratch magazine, and so much more…
