Opi Peru Stall

This year, OPI is taking us on a journey through Peru as it reveals it’s new autumn/winter collection consisting of 12 shades inspired by the South American country.

Celebrating the release of the OPI Peru collection, a showcase was held at the fitting Lima Floral restaurant in London’s Covent Garden. The space saw Peruvian-style clothing and food market stalls displaying the 12 limited edition shades that make up the collection. Stalls held produce such as peaches, mangos and herbs and spices as well as colourful clothing, woven hats and chunky jewellery pieces all boasting bright and beautiful rainbow hues.

Each shade was inspired by anything from the craft of local women, to the food and geological sites such as Rainbow Mountain and Machu Picchu. In true OPI style, the specific inspiration for each individual shade can be unveiled within the quirky names of each polish, such as the fun Alpaca My Bags or cheeky Machu Peach-u. Other names that make up the collection include Lima Tell You About This Colour!, Suzi Will Quecha Later!, Seven Wonders of OPI, Don’t Toot My Flute, Grandma Kissed a Gaucho, Somewhere Over the Rainbow Mountains, My Solar Clock is Ticking, I Love You Just Be-Cusco, Como se Llama? and Yes My Condor Can-Do!

Guests were encouraged to browse and learn more about the collection while being served South American cocktails and canapés to match, before being invited to enjoy a manicure at the nail bar (that took over the restaurants drinks bar), lined with OPI equipment, polish and logo-embossed stools. Attendees were treated to a manicure in one of OPI’s three formulas: nail polish, Infinite Shine and Gel Color, choosing from a menu of specially-designed nail art or a simple overlay in their favourite shade from the Peru collection.

With the gorgeous colours of Peru to accompany us this autumn/winter season, is it bad that we’re actually looking forward to summer ending?!
