From Thursday 11 November 2021, Covid-19 regulations affecting care home work will come into place.
Anybody entering a CQC registered care home in England for work or volunteering purposes must be vaccinated against Covid-19 – a policy that applies to all visiting workers, including hairdressers and beauty professionals.
The National Hair and Beauty Federation (NHBF) is working closely with the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to ensure that all hair and beauty industry professionals across England are aware of the regulations, as many contractors and volunteers are unaware that they apply to them.
There are some exemptions to the policy, including people who are medically exempt and people entering for an emergency.
The NHBF have advised that beauty professionals that work in care homes click here to find further information.
