Dancing On Ice: Nail Designs – Week 2

Hello Scratch readers!
Week 2 saw the amazing Didi Conn hang up her skates – but she didn’t go without a fight. Her boxing themed routine was teamed with a pink and black costume and matching hair and make-up – so naturally, I chose pink and black for the nails. It’s hard to make this combination look attractive but after trying a variety of glitters over Salon System Gellux in Black Raven, I chose the iZ Beauty Magenta Flakes. I used two coats of the black gel polish and graduated the flakes around one corner of each nail.
Skater, Vanessa, wore a peach glitzy dress so I found the incredible Peach Perfect shade from the Gellux mini collection. I used The Gel Bottle‘s Rose Gold in a diagonal line and filled each corner. This was my favourite look this week for sure!
As for Melody Thornton: can we just take a minute to say how amazing her head banger was? I wouldn’t have the guts to turn on the ice, let alone perform a head banger. Her incredible routine was teamed with a fun outfit, so we wanted her nails to be bright. I opted for The Gel Bottle in Gilly – this is extremely pigmented. I teamed this with the Magpie Glitter in Faith which is a pale holographic pink but once applied on the chosen shade, it has quite an iridescent hue so worked really well for this look.
Another fave look was for Saira Khan. I chose an ice blue glitter from The Gel Bottle which really stood out on screen against her cobalt blue dress.
