Create out-of-this-world nail designs with Amy G Galaxy collection

The Edge Nails has revealed the new Galaxy collection from the Amy G Nail Art range.

The Galaxy collection allows techs to create eye-catching, edgy nail art with three themed ranges: Galaxy Mirror Powders, Crushed Foils and Tinsel Foils.

Galaxy Mirror Powders

• Can be applied to a non-wipe gel top coat and results in a reflective coloured metallic finish
• Available in blue, bronze, purple, red, pink and gold

“Ensure the whole nail is painted with non-wipe top coat including the free edge before applying the chrome powder to ensure even coverage,” says Amy Ganney. “Flash cure each finger once the non-wipe top coat has been applied to ensure that the powder, when applied, doesn’t disperse into a glitter finish.”

Crushed Foils

• Lightweight foils that can be applied to the nail to create a colourful, metallic finish
• Available in Blue, Bronze, Purple, Red, Pink and Gold

“For higher coverage, use your fingers to rub the crushed foils into the tacky layer of the gel, for lighter coverage use a silicone nail tool to rub the crushed foils into the tacky layer,” advises Amy Ganney. “To create a matte finish, file the top coat once the design has been completed by using a 220/280 buffer.”

Tinsel Foils

• Lightweight, thin foils that can be applied to the nail to create effective linear metallic designs
• Available in Gold and Silver

“In order to create a strong linear design, press the foils into the nail but do not rub the foils as this will distort the linear finish,” says Amy Ganney. “To create a flat finish, ensure that none of the tinsel foil pieces are poking up before applying your top coat.”
