Embrace emotions through nail colour with 12 gel-based options from Light Elegance

Nail brand, Light Elegance, has unveiled its autumn/winter 2024 Moody nail colour collection, inspired by seasonal colours that evoke feelings of ‘anger, sadness, attitude, love and deep passion’.
The collection offers six shades in P+ Gel Polish and ButterCream formulas, as well as six shades in P+ Glitter Gel Polish and LE Glitter Gel: all HEMA-free, vegan, cruelty-free and gluten-free.
Lexy McLellan, creative director at Light Elegance, comments: “When I think of emotions and feelings, I envision a spectrum of colours. As a designer and artist, my work is deeply influenced by my moods, which are intrinsically linked to colour.
“Observing the trends for fall and winter, I noticed a striking palette of dramatic, bold, rich and dark tones. These hues evoke a range of emotions: anger, sadness, attitude, love and deep passion. Thus, I was inspired to create a collection that embodies these feelings – a collection about moods.
“Midnight green, moody navy and sassy red are not just trending colours – they resonate with our emotions and reflect our inner states. This collection is not for the faint-hearted; it exudes strength, confidence, passion, and resilience.”
The six shades in P+ Gel Polish and ButterCreams:
- Attitude Adjustment: a warm, neutral shade with a rosy pink undertone.
- Emotionally Drained: a jade blue-green shade.
- Green with Envy: a deep, dark green with black undertones.
- I’m Sensitive: a sweet pink taupe shade with a subtle fuchsia shimmer.
- Kiss My Sass: a raspberry red featuring a pinkish, red shimmer.
- Moody Blues: a dark navy shade.
If opting for the P+ Gel Polish formulation, expect rich pigment, smooth application with no-chip wear of around 21 days. The system also boasts a three-step soak-off method (when paired with P+ QDbase and P+ Top Coat). The LEpro Remover enables removal in seven to 10 minutes.

Opt for the ButterCreams for a dynamic, hard gel colour formula with around four weeks’ wear: ideal to achieve detailed nail art or thin colour overlays. If seeking a thicker consistency for nail art, apply straight from the jar or, if thin overlays are your end goal, agitate the gel.

The six shades in P+ Glitter Gel Polish and LE Glitter Gel:
- Bratty Blue: an aqua blue and light lavender mix.
- Crybaby: a pink and soft yellow glitter.
- Hot and Cold: a silver, rose gold hybrid shade.
- Midnight Melancholy: a midnight black colour with iridescent pops.
- Part Time Pessimist: a mixture of tiny black pieces featuring blue, green and fuchsia chunky glitters.
- Sourpuss: an iridescent silver featuring rainbow glitters.
The Glitter Gels add additional strength with hard gel durability, offering over four weeks’ wear when used over any LE structure gel or acrylic.
