Celebrity hairstylist, Adee Phelan, is inviting the hair, nail, make-up, beauty industry and beyond to donate products and money to support the NHS workers with products and a pop-up shop concept in four cities.
Adee’s project is to open four pop-up styling stations in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham cities with the first to kick off in London on Monday 13 July in @jacksbarlondon. These pop-ups will give free hairstyling to doctors and nurses.
However, Adee needs funds – and urgently. He’s looking for any donations from the public as well as offering sponsorship deals to get these four pop-up shops off the ground.
With celebrity endorsement, production companies keen to document his lockdown journey, Adee is offering sponsor’s branding, Instagram mentions and a chance to get masses of promo as the pop-ups attract attention this summer.
“My new business is in trouble right now,” Adee confesses. “However, this is so important to me. Every 16, 17 and 18-year old out there learning hair will learn more from this crisis. Don’t follow my hair, follow what I’ve done. Watch what it takes to do something of value. The drive, the enthusiasm – learn how to create and respond in a crisis. My flat is covered in boxes; Hair Tools alone has donated £90,000 in retail product for the NHS workers.
“Now I need donations to get the pop-up shops going – money for insurance liability, travel, towels, product, staff and drinks. Please support this effort if you can.”

More about Adee
Known as the man behind David Beckham’s mohawk in a GQ magazine shoot prior to the World Cup and taking Image of the Year 2002, celebrity hairstylist, Adee Phelan has had a fantastic and colourful career, which he states saved his life due to heading down the wrong path in his early years when struggling to get his life on track.
A profession in product innovation, running salons, starring in the The Salon reality TV show in 2003 and in Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire, education and technique pioneer, award-winning Adee is an industry power horse. During the Coivd-19 crisis, Adee has been as busy as ever. Having to close his latest salon, after just three years due to lockdown, Adee turned to social media seminars until a greater calling pulled his energy.
“I went online and gave away free social media seminars to help people asking for tips and tricks, how to maintain, simple cuts and more,” Adee Phelan relays. “The response was phenomenal and I thought there must be more the hairdressing and barber industry can do…this is where the idea for ‘Adee’s NHS gift for Heroes’ idea came about.
“I started to use my brand SKNHEAD London, using £7000 worth of products to send out to NHS workers as a gift for their incredible work during this tough time. I’ve reached out to all of my contacts in the industry so we can club together and issue beautiful gift boxes to the hard-working people for the NHS – loaded with hair and facial products, tools and more.”
Calling upon the industry to support his cause, Adee went on a mission to give back to the NHS. Amassing £874,000 worth of retail product, from 46 companies and filling over 10,000 boxes from his flat, Adee has given gift boxes to doctors and nurses in 47 hospitals.
His next stop on Friday 3 July is three hospitals in Liverpool, including Aintree and Liverpool Royal, where he will deliver limited edition red gift boxes in a respectful nod to Liverpool’s Premiership win last week, being a lifelong fan of the club himself.
