Brown Beauty Talk Website

Online beauty magazine, Brown Beauty Talk (BBT), has revealed a new website, designed connect Black and Asian women in the UK with beauty brands.

BBT offers readers news and features via its new website, as well as daily updates via its social media platforms and fortnightly email newsletter.

“We created Brown Beauty Talk in order to connect Black and Asian beauty lovers with brands that cater to them,” comments Ronke Adeyemi, co-founder & editor, BBT.

“Black and Asian women spend six times more than others on beauty products and services, but that was not demonstrated in the sector. We decided we needed to tackle this by creating a platform for us to be heard.”

Starting as a weekly discussion on Twitter between beauty lovers in 2013, the following year saw the platform launch its website to raise its profile. BBT also hosts events for brands, such as focus groups, influencer events, product launches and workshops.

“The new look website offers a much slicker, cohesive look,” adds Ronke. “We want to be the go-to place for all things brown beauty, especially when it comes to market intelligence.

“We have filled a void and given Black and Asian British brands a voice, plus amplify Black and Asian female voices, while celebrating the beauty industry.

“Our aim is to create a space where Black and Asian women can take a few minutes out from their busy lives to indulge in all things beauty.”
