Friday 26 April saw the results of the CEW Awards announced at the glamorous Hilton, Park Lane.
Guests, including Scratch editor, Helena Biggs, indulged in a three course lunch and incredible networking opportunities after a welcome from Caroline Neville MBE, president of CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women).
Founded in 1992, CEW is a not-for-profit organisation that boasts over 1000 UK members in the UK from the beauty industry and beyond.
It aims to support the beauty community at every stage of their career and promote and define the sector.
Caroline revealed that today’s beauty landscape has changed significantly, with products now more accessible to consumers through the likes of Amazon Beauty and Sainsbury’s; also headline sponsors of the event.
She noted that over £1bn is spent online each year in the UK on beauty products, and the industry’s current focus areas are wellness, sustainability and responsible beauty.
Over 300 products entered and 31 categories were presented at the event, with a new addition; The Responsible Beauty Award sponsored by Givaudian. Heart Radio presenter, Lucy Horobin, hosted the event, which saw the winning brands collect a Lalique statuette, and Elemis and Charlotte Tilbury saw great success.
