Yesterday, I headed to The Vinyl Factory in Soho, London – a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of Carnaby Street – for the exciting and highly anticipated pre-launch of Peacći by The Gel Bottle Inc.

Peacći is the latest brand to be launched by The Gel Bottle Inc founder, Daisy Kalnina, and sees apparel as well as a range of nail polishes. With Peacći, Daisy and her innovative, passionate team aim to push the boundaries of creativity – and this was very much reflected in the execution of the pre-launch.

Upon arrival at the cool, urban venue, guests were greeted with a Peacći ‘check list’, map of the event, shopping list and redeemable voucher for a complimentary Peacći nail polish. Before even stepping into the event it was unmistakably The Gel Bottle; with baby pink walls, pink tunnel lighting and chic, Instagram-able interior. Walking into the space you are immediately met with a fabulous nailfie booth for guests to snap picture perfect nailfies, alongside a display of The Gel Bottle’s summer cocktail collection. To the left, four manicure desks were occupied by talented techs creating flawless nail looks for guests as the Peacći nail bar. Attendees could even mix their very own Peacći nail polish shades at the ‘mix your own’ station, boasting ‘not one colour fits all’ in luminous pink lighting.

Peacći apparel was showcased on clothing rails, seeing a range of pieces for guests to choose from including hoodies and t-shirts. A ‘chill zone’ lined with plush velvet furniture in baby pink and a cherry blossom tree provided the perfect spot for guests to relax and mingle, emphasising the strong sense of community that flowed throughout the event. Opposite, Peacći nail polishes and The Gel Bottle gel polishes lined the walls next to the Peacći ‘selfie-supermarket’ where attendees snapped away to get that all-important selfie. Upon making it to the end of the venue, a pick-up point allowed techs to collect orders of Peacći apparel.

Throughout the two-day event there was an itinerary of talks, workshops and demos carried out by educators, industry inspirations and icons. I was lucky enough to attend the ‘Women Who Work’ discussion at the talk stage, hosted by a panel made up of Daisy Kalnina and Ana Williams from The Gel Bottle Inc, Laura Southern of House Of Lady Muck (HOLM) and Tammy Koslowski of NAF! Salon and NAF! Stuff. The talk saw a focus on the inspirational women each sharing their personal business experience and answering any questions from the engaged audience, such as how to find motivation in tough times and the rise of influencers.

The Peacći launch event brought together salon owners and talented techs from across the country for an event that not only celebrated the launch of a new brand but also honoured community, support, encouragement and fearlessness. There was a strong sense of female power that filled the venue and reminded each guest what it means to be a successful business woman in this industry, and the importance of supporting fellow peers in their own successes.
