New York Fashion Week Nyfw Nail Trends Ss25

The spring/summer 2025 beauty and fashion scene is officially underway, with New York Fashion Week flaunting a series of nail trends set to dominate the season. Here’s a round-up of 6 we’ve spotted that you need to note…

1. Seeing stars

Nail artist, celebrity manicurist and educator, Julie Kandalec, aka @julieknailsnyc, created this manicure for the Christian Cowan show, detailing hand-painted, jet-black stars atop a neutral overlay shade – the perfect pop of fun to any outfit.

The lead nail artist used CND™ SHELLAC™ in shade, Black Pool, for the star details.

2. Go chrome or go home

Chrome nails are a fan-favourite all year round, so it came as no surprise to see these manicures dominating the NYFW spring/summer 2025 runways. This look, also by Julie Kandalec, was for the Libertine show and featured yellow, half-moon shapes to ‘embody warmth, protection and natural beauty’. The pop of colour was the perfect statement to compliment the vivid hues of the collection.

3. Furry friends

Pup-icures may be just around the corner, like this paw-fect nail look created by Holly Falcon, aka @hollyfalconenails, for the Rachel Antonoff and Susan Alexandra’s ‘Best In Show’ NYFW runway. The show saw rescue dogs trotting down the red carpet alongside the models, walked using multi-coloured leads from the pet collection.
