London Fashion Week Ss25

London Fashion Week (LFW) marked its 40th anniversary this month, with a digital-physical hybrid schedule of designers.

As well as showcasing clothing styles set to dominate the spring/summer 2025 season, five key nail trends caught our eyes…

1. Sparkling embellishments

According to LFW, we’ll be dazzling our way through the spring and summer months, adorning nails with twinkling embellishments and charms. Session manicurist, Ella Vivii, nailed the glitzy look for the Chopova Lowena and Sinead Gorey runways. Commenting on the former on Instagram, she described the styles as ‘junk nails, western vibes & studs galore’.

2. Bold colour

Spring and summer are known for the emergence of bright colour, after the traditionally darker palettes of autumn and winter, and SS25 looks no different. Runway nails showcased a variety of eye-catching shades, from electric blue and kiwi green to Barbie pink and sunshine yellow.

3. 3D details

London Fashion Week saw drama brought to nails, with session stylist, Ama Quashie, using her 3D nail art skills for the Simone Rocha and Nensi Dojaka catwalks. From bejewelled black and red tassles cascading from fingertips to delicate floral additions, three-dimensional looks made an impact.

4. Cool chrome

When considering nail trends, whatever the season, it’s an easy guess that chrome will make an appearance – thanks to its captivating and versatile mirror finish. On LFW runways, silver was the chrome of choice, offering a metallic, futuristic feel to spring/summer styling.

5. ‘Natural nails but better’

While expressive nail art has seen a surge in popularity, there’s always space for fresh ‘clean girl aesthetic’ nails, as shown at London Fashion Week. Many designers opted for natural nails to be enhanced with neutral hues, with glossy and matte finishes, for a simple but sophisticated appearance.
