101 year old fashion icon Iris Apfel collaborates with Ciaté London for nail & beauty collection

Ciaté London has collaborated with 101 year old American business woman, fashion icon and interior designer, Iris Apfel, on an eight-piece nail and beauty collection, inspired by her iconic looks.

Iris Apfel has had a busy career that has spanned long past retirement. Iris Apfel retired in 1991, alongside her husband, from their shared textile firm, since collaborating with brands and signing a modelling contract aged 97.

The collection includes nail wraps featuring a colour-clashing design, three statement shade lipsticks, two pigmented eyeshadow palettes combining neutrals and brights, a hot pink make-up bag, and an aqua hand-held mirror.

Funky prints such as florals, eyes, lips and Iris herself decorate the nail wraps, which offer up to seven days of wear and easy application.

Known for her her bold lipstick choices, the range includes pigmented, creamy glosses in three shades; Exuberant, an orange toned red; Original, a universal pink nude; and Witty, a bright and rosy hot pink.

The two eyeshadow palettes offer a mix of mattes and shimmers, with More is More, Less is a Bore featuring pops of purple alongside everyday bronze shades, and Accidental Icon showcasing wearable pinks and bright aqua.

The make-up bag and hand-held mirror both depict Iris Apfel’s likeness in a fun, eye-catching pop art style.

A launch party for the collection took place at Nordstrom’s NYC flagship for a private event, Iris Apfel was joined by Ciaté London founder, Charlotte Knight, and Lizzie Savetsky of The Real Housewives of New York City, as well as beauty and fashion influencers stars.
