World Heart Day nails
Step by Step
29 September is World Heart Day, which aims to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease and stroke prevention.
Home Of Nail Art co-owner & educator, Charlotte, has created this heart-themed step-by-step to mark World Heart Day using the Home Of Nail Art Heart Outline Stickers.
Step 1
After all your prep work is done, apply the Complete Base from HONA. Follow this with your choice of base colour - I’ve chosen to use HONA PureBuild in Whisper. As this is a builder gel in a bottle, I first apply a slip layer and cure for 60 seconds. followed by my build layer, again curing for 60 seconds. This product is self levelling so I have no need to refine.
Step 2
To honour world heart day I have decided to choose pink and purple shades from the HONA Feel of Autumn collection. I have used Mittens on my index finger and Hawthorne on my pinky. Cure these for 60 seconds. Once cured, follow with a second coat.
Step 3
Using a dotting tool or detail brush, apply a small amount of each colour in circles to the nails without the colour, and again cure for 60 seconds. There's no need to be neat as these will just be our background.
Step 4
Select different size white heart outline stickers and gently peel them off the backing paper using sharp tweezers. Place these over your cured circles and using either a clean, gloved, finger or silicone tool press and smooth the sticker down.
Step 5
Finish with a layer of top coat over all your nails. Here, I’ve used HONA’s High Shine top coat, making sure to cap the free edge to give a long lasting manicure.
