Watermelon nail art
Spring/Summer, Step by Step, Themed
Crystal Nails brand ambassador, Barbara Szollosi, has created this summery watermelon nail art using products available via www.crystalnails4u.co.uk
Step 1
Apply Crystal Nails Compact Base Gel Cover in Pink. Cure it for 2 minutes in the LED lamp.
Step 2
Apply One Step CrystaLac in the shade 1S77 in a shape of a half circle. Cure for 30 seconds.
Step 3
Apply 3 lines around the edge of the semi circle with Crystal Nails Art Gels with the brands 0 Long Brush. It looks great if the colours melt into each other a bit. Don't cure it this time.
Step 4
With a very fine short brush, pull out tiny lines from the White Art Gel. All lines have to point towards the centre. It looks even better if the lines are irregular. Cure for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Apply Crystal Nails Mattever top coat. To make sure there will be no brush strokes visible, apply a good amount of product and wait a few second before you put it to the lamp. Cure for 30 seconds - this will half cure it and allows other products stick to it.
Step 6
Apply seeds with Art Gel black using a very short fine brush. Make sure the seeds are not dots, they need to be longish. Flash cure for 5 seconds.
Step 7
Add water drops. Use Crystal Nails Cool top coat and apply it with a dotting tool. Flash cure it after every 2-3 drops as they can start to spread on the surface. Add another drop on the top of the bigger drops. When you're done cure it fully for 2 minutes.
Step 8
Add Swarovski crystals if you make this design on a bigger/longer nail. I use Crystal Nails Gem Glue Gel to secure the stones and mini silver beads to complete it. When you are happy with the design, cure it for 2 minutes to finish the look.
