Scarlet ombré
Step by Step
Salon System nail expert, Julie-Anne Larivière, reveals how to create this striking ombré look using Salon System Gellux soak off gel polish in Devil Red.

Step 1
Prepare the nails and file to shape. Cleanse nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and then apply GELLUX Fast Bond to nails. Allow to dry. Apply GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat and cure.
Step 2
Apply GELLUX in Devil Red to two thirds of the nail. Do not cure.
Step 3
Using an ombré or fan brush, start blending the colour towards the cuticle area by dabbing gently side to side then up. Making sure you clean dry your brush frequently to avoid product build up. Cure.
Step 4
Repeat Step 2, but this time covering only half the nails with the GELLUX Devil Red. Do not cure. Next, repeat Step 3 and cure.
Step 5
Apply GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat to the third of the nails near the cuticle area. Do not cure.
Step 6
Using an ombré brush, blend the GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat downwards and cure.
Step 7
On a piece of foil or palette, mix one part GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat to two parts GELLUX Easy Off Base Coat to create a sheer nude. With a gel brush, apply the mix over the entire nail with a thicker layer on top 1/3 of the nail and a thinner layer on the rest of the nail, and cure.
Step 8
Gentle dab some GELLUX Dazzle on the side of each nails, then cure.
Step 9
Appy GELLUX Top Coat and cure. Wipe with GELLUX Prep+ Wipe and apply GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil.
